Everyone who has looked at my title laughs at it. The mention of Doritos is of course the culprit. I was thinking to myself about why I put Doritos in the title, and I guess it is just because I love them so much. Not only Doritos, but chips in general. I am a certified chipaholic, so you better watch your bag if I am near you. I am not a huge fan of plain Lays, but I will still eat them if they are there. In fact, I just ate a bag of them last week.

I am up to any taste adventure with chips. I have tried flavors like ranch, guacamole, salsa, jalapeno, habanero, barbecue, dill, sour cream and onion, pizza, salt and vinegar, and many others along with tons of variations of the aforementioned flavors….and I have liked them all. I rarely find a chip that I don’t like, but last week my wife brought home a bag of ketchup flavored chips from a Canadian store near us. First, I don’t like ketchup plain. I always eat my fries with fry sauce (ketchup and mayo), or nothing at all. Ketchup can go on a hamburger, but you need mustard or mayo too. Anyway, one bite confirmed my worries. Those things are just plain gross and wrong. I tried four of them to make sure I really didn’t like them, and I came to the same conclusion. So if anyone out there wants a bag of ketchup flavored chips call me and I will be glad to give them to you.

Stay tuned for more taste-tests with chips. Maybe I can become the foremost expert in chip tasting. All I want is a couple of free bags of chips, or at least an excuse to eat another bag.
