This morning I found a huge wet spot on the side of our property and discovered that our neighbors probably have a broken sprinkler line that was seeping into our yard and the ground is sagging. Our neighbors just sold their home yesterday and so I called their realtor. I let him know about the situation and he seemed concerned and then I didn’t hear back. I checked on my end and there isn’t anything wrong on my side so I called him again to tell him and I got this response. “We already closed on the house and it is already recorded so it isn’t their responsibility and you and them will have to deal with it.” Then he made a claim that the house was recorded BEFORE the sprinkler was busted, even though earlier he said the exact opposite and was worried. Basically too bad, screw you and them because we got our money. What is funny is the old owner at the time was still at the house cleaning, which isn’t allowed if it is already recorded. So, the realtor and our previous owners can now enjoy their lack of integrity instead of forking over 100 or so to fix a broken line. Seriously, things happen every day to lessen my faith in people’s honesty….
